Description
Spelt grain, also known as hulled wheat, is an ancient whole grain. Spelt grain has a distinct sweet, nutty chewiness.
HOW TO USE
- Ideally used as a base for salads, soups or as an alternative to rice.
- Important to soak, drain and boil red kidney beans before eating.
- Soak 1 part spelt grain to 3 parts water in a covered bowl overnight or for a minimum of 6 - 8 hours. Drain and rinse and then add to medium-sized pot and cover beans with water. Boil and then simmer for about 45 -60 minutes or until tender.
