A refined coconut palm sap. The sap is collected by tapping the sweet nectar from the tropical coconut palm tree flower, after which it is transfered into large woks and heated on fires fuelled by coconut husks and leaf nibs to reduce the moisture content. Coconut palm sugar is commonly used to sweeten Asian dishes, sauces and beverages.
