Star Anise is a dried, star-shaped fruit with a sweet liquorice-like flavour. it is typically used in Asian cuisine, and has a lovely sweet flavour. Add to red wine or port when making Gluhwein in winter or add to braising liquid when making oriental braised duck & to pot roast.
