Description
Our single origin Chinese Loose Leaf Oolong tea is a clean and delicate brew with refreshing green, floral notes. Oolong is rather light in profile and is, therefore, best enjoyed early in the morning or later in the evening.
Oolong tea is a tea that sits between green and black tea. Mainly produced by the Fujian province in China.
It is often described as a partially oxidised or semi-fermented tea. The fermentation is interrupted at a critical point that protects the very delicate and fragrant flavour.
During processing, the leaves are wilted and rolled into a spherical bubble-like shape, which is what makes Oolong easily recognisable. This also prevents the leaves from breaking after drying and tucks away the leaf, hugging in the flavour.
HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT CUP OF OOLONG TEA
- Pour freshly boiled water over the leaves, allow to infuse for 2 – 3 minutes before straining.
- Same leaves can be steeped twice.
- Enjoy the unique flavour, best served without milk or sweetener but may be added if desired.
- Store in a cool dry place. Once opened, seal with the sticker and use within 2 months.
