In Italian, "latte" means milk. What in English-speaking countries is now called a latte is short hand for "caffè latte". The Italian form means "coffee and milk", similar to the French "café au lait", the Spanish "café con leche" and the Portuguese "café com leite".

HOW TO USE

• Empty sachet into a cup.
• Add 150ml hot (not boiling) water whilst stirring.
• For a creamier hot drink, replace the water with hot milk.
