10 Ingredients, a whole day’s meals

It can be tricky coming up with tasty yet easy meals for the whole family. Cath Bothner, food strategist at Woolworths – and mom of 3 – shows you how to mix ’n match 10 products in delicious ways to feed your family  from dawn till dusk.

So what’s in the shopping bag?

  1. Multiseed wraps

  2. Kids’ mozzarella stringy cheese

  3. Beef frikkadels

  4. Plain low fat yoghurt

  5. BBQ chicken fillets

  6. Mango & Berry snack pot

  7. Veggie snack pot with carrots, hummus, cucumber

  8. Kids’ cereal: Honey hunnies

  9. No sugar and salt added peanut butter

  10. Honey

Breakfast:

Combine items 4 (yoghurt) + 6 (just the berries) + 8 (cereal) + a dollop of 10 (honey) for a yummy breakfast bowl.

Lunch:

Combine items: 1 (wraps) + 5 (chicken fillets) + 6 (mango from the snack pot) + hummus from 7 for a delicious mango chicken wrap.

Dinner:

Combine items: 1 (wraps) + 2 (kids’ mozzarella stringy cheese) + 3 (frikkadels, cooked). Fill wrap and fold over, toast or grill until golden and melty. Serve with 4 (yoghurt) + smashed cucumber from items 7, for a great frikkadel quesadilla. 

Snack:

Savoury: cut the wraps (1) into wedges and bake in the oven until crispy, dip into leftover hummus (7) and enjoy with carrots (7).

Sweet: take the same approach as with the savoury snack, but dip into sweet blend of yoghurt (4) and honey (10).

Dessert:

Combine items: 8 (kids’ cereal) + 9 (peanut butter) + 10 (honey) to make yummy nut clusters.
